Please tell me that your playrooms/areas look like this. Maybe it's just my OCD but this drives me bonkers. I've given up straightening every day. And the poor child slips and falls all the time. The purpose of the letter mat was to give her something to play on, but of course she has more fun tearing everything apart!

I hate to admit it, but ours actually looks worse. And the area where he plays most is our living room. It's embarrassing on the odd occasions that we have unexpected guests. It's pointless to try cleaning up unless he's sleeping, so I live with the mess most of the time.
Don't worry about cleaning. You need to rest, girl! hehe :) I know, I know ... easy for me to say, I'm a neat freak and worry about stuff like that, too. Our bonus room is MUCH worse right now. *sigh* Sometimes it's like, "Why even bother?" when they dump their toys after I've *just* cleaned everything up. hehe :)
I gave up on cleaning the play area a long time ago - it just gets messy again!
ps - I just came across your blog and love your template! Congrats on the twins; I hope you start feeling better soon.
Believe it or not, Kendall is pretty good about picking up when I ask him to. It's my ELEVEN year old that I have trouble with, LOL! I do have days though where I think "if I have to pick up ONE more toy, I'm going to scream, lol! Just wait til you have all 3 babies & toys ;) Sorry, I know that doesn't help!
My whole house has toys everywhere! I'm grateful that we have a one level, that way we keep most of the big stuff in Lila's room. It has only gotten worse since Lila's been walking....she's fully capable of taking every single toy to pretty much anywhere in the house. I just let her do what she's going to do and then do a toy sweep at the end of the day.
I wish we had a play room to look like this but for the moment our sitting room doubles as one - and yes it looks like that all the time. I have now gave up and only clean it once a day
